Internet Based Study Resources
RRMEO – The ACRRM online resource for education and training. Contains a vast amount of material, online learning and access to courses. Highly recommended and must for all FACRRM candidates. Includes Telederm
National Prescribing Service – Provides excellent articles and education concerning common GP pharmacology. They have several different publications, amongst which ‘Prescribing Practice Reviews’ (PPR’s) and ‘NPS News’ have proven to be particularly useful.
gplearning - An excellent resource for FRACGP candidates in particular. Many different topics are covered with applied knowledge questions.
ThinkGP – An online, independent, RACGP & ACRRM accredited learning site. Most modules are supplied/prepared by RACP or special interest groups such as Andrology Australia for men’s health. Registration is free.
Medicine Today – Another RACGP & ACRRM accredited learning site. Modules are based on articles from the journal, which is a very useful general practice publication. Articles are available as PDF’s online and registration is free.
PriMeD – A collaboration between UQ and Med-E-Serv to provide an RACGP accredited online learning site. Many common GP knowledge sets are addressed (e.g.: palliative care, chronic kidney disease, antenatal care etc..). Registration is free.
Rural Health Education Foundation – The Rural Health Education Foundation is Australia’s pre-eminent provider of television-based health education for doctors, pharmacists, nurses and allied health professionals. All programs are accredited and are available via video webstreaming and audio podcasting on this website as well as on DVD. Our website is fully searchable and provides links to many other online health resources. Many DVD’s available in our library.
The Humour Foundation – The Humour Foundation is a charity dedicated to promoting the health benefits of humour. International research has found psychological and physiological advantages from doses of humour. Humour is an effective coping strategy. It can relieve fear and stress and aid recovery.

RACGP John Murtagh Library
The services and resources of the RACGP John Murtagh Library are freely available to GP Registrars in the RACGP stream, Medical Educators, Supervisors and RTP staff in the form of a traditional “distance” loans and information service complemented by a growing range of web based resources which can be accessed via the secure areas of their website.

First time users of the Library need to register to access the Library’s licensed resources in the secure areas of the website, including the Library’s full text databases and the eBook collection.
