Volunteer Medical Officer - KIUNGA

The Medical Officer, Integrated Health Patrols works as part of a team providing clinical and preventative healthcare services across health centres and aidposts in Western Province.

Each Rural Health Patrol lasts up to two weeks and is conducted by boat and/or four wheel drive, staying in local villages and guest houses.

Whilst not on patrol, the Volunteer Medical Officer is responsible for providing clinical examinations, support, education and training at the Daru-Kiunga Diocese headquarters at the Montfort Catholic Mission in Kiunga and at the Kiunga general Hospital when invited.

Volunteer Medical Officer - Kavieng

The Medical Officer, Integrated Health Patrols works as part of a 10-person team providing clinical and preventative healthcare services across 26 health centres in New Ireland Province.

Each Rural Health Patrol lasts two weeks and is conducted by boat and four wheel drive, staying in local villages and guest houses.

Whilst not on patrol, the Volunteer Medical Officer is responsible for providing clinical support, education and training at the capital’s Kavieng Hospital, Lemakot Health Centre and Lemakot School of Nursing.
