1. To deliver regional & rural medicine and health education for Griffith Health.
  2. To deliver regional & rural medicine and health education for University Health Departments with a rural focus.
  3. To provide relevant professional development for Supervisors, Practice Managers, allied Rural Health Professionals, Rural Practices and Rural Hospitals to develop and sustain rural practice and clinical supervision of students, junior doctors and registrars undertaking rural health education.
  4. To evaluate rural health education activities and undertake health research relevant to rural health.
  5. To conduct the business of rural health education with good corporate governance, in a fiscally prudent manner with good business practice.
  6. To support and promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island health training.
  7. To support and promote rural general practice and rural medicine vocational training and rural general practice prevocational training.
  8. To support and deliver education and training for doctors seeking vocational registration as a general practitioner.
